“I’ve got a basket of bitter sunsets.”

I only speak a little Hebrew, but the easiest sentence for me to say is “Ani ohevet ashkolit.” (I love grapefruit.) I also love strong, confident women who are really good at their jobs and care about their fellow humans. I’m not going to tell you who this character is, although you’ve already seen her in a couple of drawings with Shulamit, but she’s looking forward to meeting you and feeding you.

(Character by Shira Glassman; drawing by Rachel Matz; inked/colored by Jane Dominguez. Read about this character and other exciting women in “The Second Mango”, about a gay woman, a straight woman, and a dragon, available from Prizm Books and Amazon Kindle as eBooks, and in print pre-ordered from Wild Iris Books. This character, incidentally, is bisexual–like the author.)
