L’shana Tova (Happy New Year) from Shulamit, Rivka, & Dragon!

L'shana Tova (Happy New Year) from Shulamit, Rivka, & Dragon!

Shulamit took Rivka and her Dragon to her favorite ice cream parlor, Sweet Dreams of Gainesville, to celebrate the Jewish new year. (Okay, I don’t know how they got to Gainesville, but I love Sweet Dreams and wanted a picture of them there!)

I don’t know what’s distracting Rivka like that but if this picture is from Wacky Flavor Night, there’s probably a band outside playing or the kind of crowd that would put her on her guard, protecting the queen. Either way, a certain opportunistic dragon isn’t wasting any time.

Characters from The Second Mango by Shira Glassman; above artwork drawn by Mina V. and inked by Jane Dominguez. Available on eBook for $5.79 on Prizm Books, from Giovanni’s Room, and on Amazon Kindle, and for print/paperback pre-order for $14.95 at Wild Iris Booksanother Gainesville tradition.
